8.7/15kV XHIOE(cbe) Cable Feature

• Dual Water-Blocking in Conductor and Shield (CBE): The “(CBE)” suffix indicates that the cable features longitudinal water-blocking measures in both the conductor (Tape 1) and the metallic shield (Tape 2 water-blocking yarn). In the event of damage to the outer jacket, this effectively prevents moisture from spreading along the cable’s longitudinal axis, thereby preventing water tree aging.
• Robust Copper Wire Shielding Structure: Copper wire is used instead of copper tape for the metal shielding layer. Compared to copper tape, the copper wire shielding structure is more robust when subjected to short-circuit currents and mechanical stress, and it offers greater flexibility, making it easier to bend and install.
• Weather-Resistant PE Outer Sheath: The cable is encased in a black polyethylene (PE) sheath that offers high resistance to UV radiation, abrasion, and environmental exposure.
• Standard Electrical and Thermal Performance: Rated voltage of 8.7/15 kV (up to 17.5 kV), continuous operating temperature up to +90°C, and minimum installation temperature of -20°C.
