18/30kV XHIOE(cbe) Cable Feature

Full Longitudinal Water-Barrier Design: The model suffix (cbe) explicitly indicates that both the conductor and the metal shielding layer feature longitudinal water-barrier capabilities. Water is prevented from penetrating the conductor through water-barrier yarn or water-barrier tapes between the wire layers, while a water-barrier tape is applied over the metal shielding layer to prevent moisture from penetrating longitudinally.
XLPE Insulation and Semiconductive Layers: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is used as the primary insulation, with semiconductive XLPE layers extruded both internally and externally to uniform the electric field; a semiconductive tape is typically applied over the insulating shielding layer.
Copper Wire Shielding Structure: The metal shielding uses copper wire (rather than copper tape), a signature design feature of the XHIOE series that offers relatively better flexibility.
PE Outer Sheath: The black polyethylene outer sheath provides a robust mechanical barrier and offers high abrasion resistance, UV resistance, and resistance to environmental exposure.
