- Unloader: Equipment used to unload bulk cargo such as coal and ore from ships. Due to its long operating range and extended continuous operation, it places extremely high demands on power transmission.
- Stacker/Reclaimer: Equipment used to stack and retrieve bulk materials in stockpiles. It typically moves back and forth on rails, placing high demands on cables in terms of flexibility and resistance to lateral pressure.
- Gantry Crane: Includes RTGs commonly used at container terminals. These move and turn within cargo yards and must withstand the rigors of outdoor, all-weather conditions.
