0.6/1 kV VV-K/VV-R cable is a low-voltage power and control cable with a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV, featuring environmentally friendly polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation and sheathing. The conductors are made of annealed electrolytic copper or electrical-grade aluminum, and the cable is available in two constructions: Class 2 (round compact/fan-shaped) and Class 5 (round flexible): The VV-K type is suitable for complex wiring in control cabinets, instrumentation circuits, and fixed installations, while the VV-R* type, featuring a flexible conductor made of multiple strands of fine copper wire, is specifically designed for powering equipment that requires frequent bending or movement (such as cranes and electric hoists).

Metal: Annealed electrolytic copper or electrical-grade aluminum.
Shape: Round (flexible "Class 5" or compact "Class 2") and sector-shaped ("Class 2"), depending on the cable's configuration.

Filling: Made of non-hygroscopic extruded or taped material, placed over the connected and wired phases.

  • VV-K
  • Industrial Automation: Connects inverters, soft starters, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) within distribution panels to external actuators (such as contactors and relays).
  • Instrumentation: Used to connect various sensors and transmitters (such as pressure, temperature, and flow instruments) within a plant, transmitting 4–20 mA analog signals or digital signals.
  • Complex Wiring: Due to its Class 5 flexible construction (stranded fine copper wires), this cable is ideal for installation inside switchgear or in equipment-dense cable trenches, meeting requirements for “tight bending radii.”
  • Indoor and Outdoor Fixed Installation: Whether in indoor cable trays or outdoor locations with shade, VV-K is typically used for fixed installations requiring control circuits with a certain degree of flexibility.
  • VV-R
  • Powering mobile equipment: This is the most distinctive application for VV-R. For example, in cranes, electric hoists, lifts, sliding gates, and the moving tables of machine tools, the cable must bend repeatedly as the equipment moves.
  • Tight and Complex Routes: In conduit shafts, internal spaces within equipment (such as inside medical CT scanners or elevator trailing cables), and within ceilings where cables must navigate around obstacles, VV-R cables can be easily run through conduits or laid thanks to their significantly smaller bending radius compared to VV cables.
  • Temporary power supply: Construction sites, event stages, emergency rescue sites, and other locations requiring temporary power lines that are frequently rolled up, moved, or dragged. VV-R cables are lighter and more resistant to bending than rigid cables.

  • Weather resistance: Contains UV stabilizers, allowing for long-term exposure to outdoor sunlight without significant aging (however, it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight or use a black jacket).
  • Enhanced safety: Reliably suitable for industrial power distribution circuits, with improved resistance to overvoltage and surges.
  • Wider applicability: Suitable for both control circuits (exceeding standard requirements) and direct use in low-voltage power distribution.
