2XSEY/ N2XSEY A2XSEY/ NA2XSEY Cable Feature
- High Current-Carrying Capacity: Featuring XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation, it has a long-term allowable operating temperature of up to 90°C (compared to 70°C for PVC) and a short-circuit withstand temperature of up to 250°C. For the same cross-sectional area, its current-carrying capacity is approximately 15%–30% higher than that of standard PVC cables.
- Low Partial Discharge: The inner semiconductive layer, insulation, and outer semiconductive layer are formed in a single-step co-extrusion process, eliminating internal air gaps. The factory-tested partial discharge value is strictly controlled at ≤5 pC, significantly extending the service life (designed for ≥30 years).
- Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Resistance: A dual-metal shielding layer consisting of copper wire and copper tape effectively equalizes the electric field and diverts fault currents to ground, while also providing shielding against external electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for installation in the same trench as low-voltage circuits.
- High Short-Circuit Withstanding Capacity: The metal shielding layer (copper wire) possesses sufficient short-circuit capacity to withstand short-circuit currents during single-phase ground faults (typically lasting 1–3 seconds), thereby providing sufficient response time for relay protection.
- Dual-metal shielding (copper wire + copper tape): Loosely wound (or braided) copper wire carries the short-circuit current, while copper tape is wrapped in the opposite direction to equalize the electric field and prevent electrolytic corrosion. The combination of these two elements ensures that the shield maintains good electrical continuity even when bent.
