12/20(24) kV CV-SWA (CE-SWA optional) three-core armored power cable is a medium-voltage power distribution cable designed in accordance with the IEC 60502-2 standard. It features round, compacted annealed copper conductors and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. The conductor’s long-term operating temperature can reach 90°C, and can withstand temperatures up to 250°C during short-circuit conditions (for up to 5 seconds). The cable includes a semiconductive shield, a copper tape metallic shield, polypropylene (PP) filling, and polyester tape wrapping, and is equipped with a PVC inner sheath (PE optional) and galvanized steel wire armor (SWA), with an outer PVC sheath (PE optional).

  • Superior Insulation and Current-Carrying Capacity: The use of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) as the insulation material enables the cable to withstand higher operating temperatures. The maximum continuousoperating temperature of the conductor is 90°C, and during a short circuit (lasting up to 5 seconds), the conductor can withstand temperatures as high as 250°C.
  • Robust Steel Wire Armor (SWA): The galvanized steel wire armor in its construction is its most distinctive feature, providing the cable with exceptional mechanical protection and enabling it to effectively withstand tensile forces and external impacts during installation and use.
  • Comprehensive Structural Protection: The cable features an internal copper tape shield that carries fault currents and equalizes electric fields. Externally, a PVC sheath is provided as standard, with an optional PE sheath available to accommodate different environmental requirements.
