20.8/36(42)kV EAXeCeWB Cable Feature
- Dual Water Resistance: Thanks to its unique structural design, this cable effectively prevents water ingress both along the length of the cable (longitudinally) and across its cross-section (radially), making it particularly suitable for use in damp environments with high groundwater levels or where direct burial is required.
- Temperature Resistance: Featuring cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, the conductor has a maximum continuous operating temperature of 90°C and can withstand temperatures up to 250°C during short circuits (for up to 5 seconds), offering high current-carrying capacity and thermal stability.
- Conductor and Shielding: The conductor consists of a round, compactly stranded aluminum conductor compliant with IEC 60228 Class 2 standards, balancing cost and electrical conductivity. The shield consists of annealed copper wires and a reverse-lay copper tape, effectively conducting fault currents.
- Outer Sheath: The sheath is made of polyethylene (PE), typically red, though black is also available. The PE sheath offers excellent weather resistance, abrasion resistance, and UV resistance, making it suitable for outdoor and direct-burial applications.
