Powering Mobile Tunnel Boring Equipment: Its primary purpose is to supply power to mobile high-voltage equipment, most notably tunnel boring machines (TBMs). Its flexible trailing cable design withstands continuous movement and tension during the TBM’s advancement.
Connecting Conveyor Systems: Provides reliable electrical connections for long-distance conveyor belts used to transport excavated material out of tunnels.
Powering underground transformers: This cable is used for fixed connections, such as supplying power to high-voltage transformers within mines or tunnels to achieve step-down power distribution.
Supporting shotcrete and drilling equipment: It can also power other heavy mobile equipment commonly used in tunnel construction, such as shotcrete machines and rock drills.
