- 3.6/6kV, 6/10kV HF-CXFSA (VFD) Marine Cable is designed to connect variable frequency drives (VFDs) to medium-voltage AC motors. Its power supply applications include:
- Main Propulsion Motors: Precision vessels equipped with diesel-electric or hybrid propulsion systems—including advanced cable-laying ships—rely on VFDs and their dedicated cables for precise and efficient thrust output.
- Thrusters: In dynamic positioning (DP) systems—such as the DP3 system employed by cable-laying vessels—bow and stern thrusters require variable frequency control for precise maneuvering and positional holding, making VFD cables indispensable in this process.
- Pumps, Fans, and Compressors: Within engine rooms and auxiliary systems, numerous large pumps, ventilators, and compressors utilize variable frequency drives to achieve energy efficiency and process control.
