Double Insulation: Each conductor features dual-layer cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. This meets the stringent Class II (double or reinforced) insulation requirements for the DC side of photovoltaic systems, effectively preventing DC electric shock and short-circuit risks.
Specialized Sheath: The outer layer features a SolarTek® UV-resistant PVC sheath, offering superior weather resistance, sunlight endurance, and extreme temperature tolerance to ensure long-term outdoor performance.
Inner Liner and Easy-Strip Design: A specialized inner liner (e.g., CarbonTek®) between the armor and conductors not only enhances electrical protection but also typically incorporates a high-tensile tear-resistant cord. This allows installers to safely and quickly strip the armor without damaging the internal insulation.
High DC Voltage Rating: Specifically engineered for photovoltaic systems, with a DC withstand voltage rating up to 1.5 kV DC, meeting the demands of high-voltage, long-distance transmission in modern large-scale solar power plants.
