69kV CE 1 Core Power Cable Application
- Direct burial in moist soil: Directly buried in farmland, riverbanks, or clay areas where the water table is high and water tends to pool during the rainy season, relying on the aluminum-plastic composite tape (Layer 8) to permanently block the penetration of soil moisture.
- Water-submerged concrete conduits (cable trenches): Installed in urban underground cable tunnels or PVC/FRP conduits that are chronically waterlogged to prevent water pressure from forcing moisture into the insulation layer.
- Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Construction: When crossing beneath rivers, highways, railroads, or airport runways, this method resists the intrusion of high-pressure bentonite slurry, protecting the conductors and insulation from contamination.
- Saline-Alkali Soils or Corrosive Soils in Chemical Plants: Utilizing the excellent chemical corrosion resistance of the black PE sheath (Layer 9), this method resists erosion from acids, alkalis, and salts in the soil.

69kV CE 1 Core Power Cable Feature
- Extremely low dielectric loss: The dielectric loss factor (tan δ) of dry-cured chemically cross-linked XLPE insulation is extremely low (typically <0.001). It generates minimal heat during prolonged operation at 69 kV and offers high transmission efficiency.
- Short-Circuit Fault Withstanding Capacity: The copper wire shielding layer (Layer 6) provides extremely low ground fault impedance and can safely withstand a symmetrical short-circuit current of ≥31.5 kA/1 second, ensuring that the shielding layer will not melt during a system fault.
- Copper Wire + Copper Contact Tape Composite Shielding: The shielding layer consists of copper wire winding combined with reverse-oriented copper contact tape (Layer 6). The copper wire provides current-carrying capacity, while the copper tape ensures electrical continuity among all copper wires and secures their position, preventing the wires from becoming disorganized or piercing the insulation during installation.
- Corrosion- and UV-Resistant PE Sheath: The black high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheath (Layer 9) offers excellent resistance to soil acidity and alkalinity, chemical corrosion, and UV aging, making it suitable for direct burial, open trenches, and saline-alkali soil environments.
