- Superior Water Resistance: Its dual-layer longitudinal water-blocking structure (with expansion strips both outside the conductor shield and outside the shielding layer) ensures that moisture is effectively prevented from spreading along the length of the cable, even if the outer jacket is damaged during installation or operation.
- High Current-Carrying Capacity and Temperature Rating: Featuring XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation, the conductor can withstand a maximum long-term operating temperature of 90°C and a short-circuit temperature of 250°C (for up to 5 seconds).
- Superior Insulation Shielding: Both the conductor shield and the insulation shield are made of semiconductive materials, with the insulation shield being an adherent type. This effectively equalizes the electric field across the surfaces of the conductor and insulation, preventing partial discharge and significantly extending the cable’s service life.
- High Fault Current Carrying Capacity: The combined shielding layer of copper wires and copper tape provides a sufficiently large cross-sectional area to safely carry the high short-circuit currents generated during a single-phase-to-ground fault, ensuring the transient stability of the power grid. It is particularly well-suited for systems with a neutral point grounded via an arc-suppression coil.
